MAEH has been the national association representing the professional interests of all environmental health practitioners (mainly Environmental Health Officer or assistant EHO’s) in Malaysia whether currently employed or retired from active environmental health services in the Government or Private Sector.
Currently MAEH have about 2500 registered members working in the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Urban Well-being Housing and Local Government, various Local Authorities, Institutions of Higher Learning and the Private Sector.
MAEH is the only recognised association representing Malaysia as a council member of the International Federation of Environmental Health since its inception in 1985.
The association is managed by a Management Council comprising of the President, the Vice-President, the Honorary Secretary, the Honorary Treasurer and 12 Ordinary Committee Members elected during the Bi-Annual General Meeting by the members.
